Four men are dressed in white suits. They are armed with snow shovels and haul bags of golden corn. The men invite us on an imaginative, choreographic and musical journey through time and space. Baïna[na] is a satire about man’s relationship with money and power. As the characters encounter the abundant amounts of ‘gold’, they are first seduced into pleasure, ecstasy and jealousy – and finally into complete downfall. G. Bistaki’s show is circus and dance, where the different artistic disciplines are mixed in new ways. Through Baïna[na], the company paints a satirical, dream-like and absurd portrait of our times, where mockery and laughter reign.
