The Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and their great love has been given a completely new appearance in Insectotropics’ performance. This ultimate love story takes on a completely different dimension, when it is produced in a mix of performance art, installation art and concert. Hypermodern technology plays a central role in both the narrative and the staging. Orpheus, the world’s greatest musician and poet, is devastated by the death of his beloved Eurydice. Therefore, he decides to bring her back from the dead and back to life with the help of his music, his love and the virtual reality machine Spiritcom. Insectotropics has created the performance on the occasion of their 10th anniversary in 2022.
