Immersed in a kleptomaniac existence, the multi-faceted Aurélia Thierrée finds herself manipulated and influenced by the objects she steals. A coat hanger starts to walk. Seats and a table slip and dodge, while a wall is opening to let a couple of dancers in. A dress is suddenly moved by an autonomous life. As always in the creations of Victoria Thierrée-Chaplin, strangeness joins wonders. All kinds of illusions make you smile and dream. In ‘Bells and Spells’ neither logic, reason, nor seriousness has a say in the matter. Aurélia Thierrée guides us toward a visionary country which combines surrealistic humor and magical meaning. A musical, danced show full of secrets, surprises and humor.
